Petrotech conductivity Level switches It comprises of a probe, wired to a level controller. The probe Holds one common “Mass Electrode" and one or multiple “Control Electrodes" depending upon the number of levels To be controlled. All the electrodes are suitably insulated to Avoid electrical bridging. The lengths of “Control Electrodes “Correspond to the height of preset level points to be Controlled and the length of the “Mass Electrode" is kept Slightly longer than the longest “Control Electrode".

They are designed to control the level of all conductive service mediums, offering up to 4 different points of level monitoring and control. Models are available with fixed rigid probes, with removable rigid probes, or with pendulum electrodes attached to the housing using cable.

Petrotech Displacer Liquid Level Switch is a simple buoyancy, whereby a spring is loaded with weighted displacers which are heavier than the liquid.

Immersion of the displacers in the liquid results in buoyancy force change, which moves the spring upward. Since the spring moves only when the level moves on a displacer, spring movement is always a small fraction of the level travel between displacers.

A magnetic sleeve is connected to the spring and operates within a non-magnetic barrier tube spring movement causes the magnetic sleeve to attract a pivoted magnet actuating a switch mechanism located outside the barrier tube. Built-in limit stops prevent over stroking of the spring, under level surge conditions.

Petrotech Side Mounted Level Switch It is most economical level switch where only on & off function is required. It consists of Enclosure, Float, Process Flange, Microswitch. Microswitch is fixed in non magnetic enclosure. Float rod carries magnet with it. Enclosure housed contact carriers also contains two magnets. Like poles of the two magnets comes opposite to each other when liquid level changes. Repulsion force resulting fron it.

Petrotech Side Mounted Level Switch Measurement Principle:

• By the repulsion of two magnetic fields to activate a micro-switch that is external to the process.
• Level switch for liquids uses a float to activate a micro-switch.
• The magnetic coupling drives the switch so there is no direct link, requiring a seal, between the process and the instrumentation.
• The installation in the tank can be horizontal depending on the type of float system used.
• The level dead band is variable, that is, the level differential between the high and low switching points.

Petrotech Multi Point Level Switch are suitable for level detection, level switching and one- or multipoint level controlling tasks in normal as well as in hazardous areas. The device consists of a probe tube, a float incorporating a magnet and a housing containing the connection terminals. A maximum of 5 switches can be incorporated in the probe. A sliding sleeve on the top of the probe provides for a simultaneous ±25 mm adjustment possibility of the positioning of the switches. The wetted parts of the level switch are made of stainless steel. The plastic-coated versions are suitable for level detecting of aggressive liquids. Floats and process connections can be selected according to the measured medium and the application.

Petrotech Paddle switch is designed to detect high or low levels of free-flowing dry Solids, such as powders and granules. It is mounted through the wall of a vessel such that the paddle protrudes inside the vessel.

A small electric motor drives the paddle, which rotates freely in the absence of material. Impeded by material the motor will be turned within the housing while loading a spring and triggering two switches. One of them is a dry electric contact for control and alarm functions while the other cuts the power to the motor. When the material level drops, the loaded stretched tension spring returns the motor to its original position and the unit is reactivated.

Petrotech Vibrating Fork Level Switch is electronically stimulated fork vibrates at it’s mechanically Resonance frequency of 125 Hz when the fork is free of the service Material. The resonance is caused by the piezoelectric crystals. One of the Piezo crystals produces a small voltage which is transmitted to the Switching amplifier. If the fork is covered by the bulk material, a Damping effect is produced and the piezo crystal does not produce the Voltage and the amplifier will switch and a corresponding signal output is Actuated. The vibration of the fork has self-cleaning properties.

Construction & Operation:

Simple and sturdy construction, consisting of float & guild tube, made of nonmagnetic material to achieve undisturbed magnetic flux.

Float is protected from turbulence, foreign particles by providing external slosh shield arrangement.

The float has a magnetic system within it and moves freely along the guide tube, which contains hermetically sealed reed switch.

Float follows liquid level & magnetically actuates the reed switch at defined position.

The switch is provided with manual test lever to use to check operation. Provided with 10 mtrs of integral cable.'

Petrotech Mini Point Level Switch consists of two primary components, the stem and float. The stem can contain up to four reed switches located at predetermined positions custom to your specific need. The float contains a magnetic element. The float will travel up and down on the stem as the level of the fluid changes. The reed switch opens or closes as it responds to the proximity of the magnetic element within the float assembly.
